What is Provident Living?

Welcome to the B8 Provident Living Blog.  Here I will post ideas and information to help us all "Provide for the future, while taking care of today."  The following is taken from Spencer W Kimball's Teachings, chapter 11. "We have placed considerable emphasis on personal and family preparedness.  I hope that each member of the Church is responding appropriately to this direction. . . This implies  1) the husbanding [ prudent managing] of our resources ,  2) the wise planning of financial matters ,  3) full provision for personal health , and  4) adequate preparation for education and career development ,  5) giving appropriate attention to home [food] production and storage as well as  6) the development of emotional resiliency ."  (Emphasis added)
