SPROUTING

GROWING GREEN THINGS Many of you have started a garden.  If you don't have space for a garden or have time, you can still have fresh grown items grown in your kitchen.  How do you do that?  SPROUTING!  It's easy and quick.   Last month, I received a text from a sister in our ward whose initials are ZR.  "I've got sprouts!"  she exclaimed.  I had her send me pictures and they are posted below.  She bought her system at Your Family Still Matters, the preparedness store.  This system makes a lot of sprouts easily. Check out the Provident Living Newsletter sent out by the Relief Society on May 2.

Group Order Instructions for "Your Family Still Matters"

B8 Ward, We have the opportunity to do Group Orders from "Your Family Still Matters," (YFSM) a preparedness store on South Bluff Street near the Red Lion Hotel. THE GOOD NEWS We can keep doing Group Orders.  As a member of B8 ward, you can order items on a discounted rate that other groups are promoting.  During our Jan/Feb order, I ordered a small emergency radio that another group had added to their group.  I got it at the reduced rate!  Today, I called and it was confirmed to me that this is perfectly acceptable.  Below are the directions from YFSM to create an account and get the things you need at the best price: ***** Your Family Still Matters has created a group order page for us on their preparedness website BeReadyFoods.com . Follow these steps to place and pay for your order. 1. If you’ve already registered/created an account on BeReadyFoods.com then skip to step 3 below. If you are new to ordering from BeReadyFoods.com, then follow these steps...

Food Storage Calculator

Excel Food Storage Calculator   Try this one. Tracking your Food Storage Dear Bloomington 8th Ward, I have attached some links above that I have found.  The Excel calculator that Sue McMillan gave us has not opened for me, but you might be able to access our B8 Provident Living Google Drive and then upload it to your computer.  I use Tracking your Food Storage.  I like it because I can edit it and it tells me how much more I need to purchase.  I tried to embed it in this blog and guess what?  It linked up to my personal copy and displayed my own personal storage for all of you to see!  So I am trying this route and linking a copy that is one Pintress.  Good luck finding a system that words for you!

If you missed this one, there will be another chance.)  Personal Preparedness Handout  Handout for January 26, 2021 Zoom Preparedness Presentation  Presented by Sue McMillan  “How Often do Church member arise early in the morning to do the will of the Lord?…How often do we say,  ‘Yes, I will obey the COMMANDMENTS to store food and to help others, but just now I have neither the time  nor the money to spare; I will obey later’? Oh, foolish people! While we procrastinate, the harvest will be over  and we will not be saved. Now is the time to follow Abraham’s example; now is the time to repent; now is the  time for prompt obedience to God’s will.”   (The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, p.174)  “If Ye Are Prepared Ye Shall Not Fear”  Some Church members opine that emergency plans and supplies, food storage, and 72-ho...
